So you have finally decided to tie the Knot. congratulations on this big decision. Before you do go and take that extra leap just for one second could you think about these points and then finally truly make up that decision. It may help to actually reflect what you are getting into.

For some of us Marriage may not be a bed of roses and for some of us it could be a dream come true. Firstly ask yourself in which category you fit in.

Ask yourself the following questions:
How do you and your to be define marriage? is it something that both of you want to share for the rest of your life? What are your expectations after the Big day.

Why do you both need to be married? is it society pressures, Is it financial status and lifestyle?, is it so that someone can organise your home and lifestyle? is it companionship? is it one sided?

Are you both financially compatible? In today’s world one cannot solely depend on one person being the bread earner. What if something goes wrong and the other needs to shoulder the responsibility are you both capable? Do you both share the same values when it comes to material wants? do you both share the same expectations from lifestyle point of view?

Are spiritual values compatible? Do you both value each others upbringing? do you both value each others religious beliefs?

Family Backgrounds: Are you compatible with the other persons family? do you both make a considerable effort to be part of the other persons family? are you trying rather than being part of the family? is it one sided where only one is being flexible while the other partner does not give a damn?

Communication between the two of you? - Do you both compliment each other? When there are disagreements is it one sided where only one has to make up? Can you both bring up a touchy topic and have a conversation with an agreeable solution?

Here’s to a happy wedded life. Respect each other and be loving. If you have these 2 ingredients it will take you a long way.
